Arm and Hammer cat litter is a product of the Church & Dwight Co. Inc. The Arm and Hammer products are well known for their solid brand name for more than 150 years.

You may know Arm and Hammer for their hard working odor eliminating baking soda products.

Knowing this, it doesn’t really surprise me much to know that they have a cat litter that touts odor destruction.

Some of the kitty litters offered by Arm and Hammer are High Performance clumping litter (Natural/biodegradable alternative), Super Scoop and Odor Alert.

They also have a great cat litter box deodorizer which I’ve tested as well (more on that later).

Since Arm and Hammer baking soda is used to combat stinky odors in the fridge, I decided to give this product (Multi-Cat Extra Strength Litter) a shot, since I need so much help in that department!

Does Arm and Hammer control odors?

One of the things people seem to really like about this litter is the “fresh scent,” and as a user I really do agree that it makes my home smell much cleaner and fresher.

Arm and Hammer cat litter contains small baking soda crystals that work to eliminate odors on contact.

Of course.. the whole purpose of the fresh scent is to control odor and I must say that it really does!

In fact, my sister came over recently and I asked her to give me her honest opinion.. and she said that my house “smelled much better!”

And I don’t think she was just being nice either. ; - )

A big problem that many cat owners have is the horrible urine smell from the litter box. Thankfully, there is none of that with Arm and Hammer cat litter.

This product also clumps fluids remarkably well and makes litter changing easy.

I didn’t seem to find any broken clumps anywhere.

So, if you’re looking for a product that forms tight clumps with excellent odor control… you might want to give this one a shot.

What I don’t like

There is usually always something I don’t care for and with Arm and Hammer everything was great.. except for the dust.

It seems to really produce a lot of it, especially when you’re pouring it out of the box.

While this product is a bit dustier than others… I think it’s redeeming qualities are the clumping action and the odor control.

I’ll take the dust any day over a smelly home.

If they could work on the dust issue I would be a converted user forever!
