What Are the Benefits?

Hands down, one of the best benefits of purchasing an automatic litter box is that you can forget about the daily litter box scooping! Imagine not having to mess with those dirty bags and foul odors every day and also forget about bending over constantly.

When you think about all the advantages of owning one, it really looks very tempting to try it out..

In fact, the only big issue with this type of specialty litter box is the price.



But don't let that scare you off! Regardless of price, there are quite a few cat owners that rave about what a great investment it was. Many have claimed that they can't imagine switching back to the plain litter pan just because of the improvement in their quality of life and their kitten's life as well.

It also saves you boat loads of headaches and helps you cut down on the not so favorite chore of scooping, which is a big plus!

So how does this fancy litter box work?

Most electric litter boxes work by using sensors to tell when your cat enters and exits the unit. Once the sensor finds that your cat is finished, it sets off the cleaning process where the rake will scoop away any waste deposits.

The waste is then emptied into the trash receptacle where it waits to be changed by you once it's full. Depending on the type of automatic litter box you purchase and the number of cats you own, quite a few models have stated that you can go for up to 5-7 days before emptying out the waste receptacle.

This is one of the big benefits of an electric litter box, mostly because it makes your life and kitty's much easier and cleaner!
