“I bought the LitterMaid Elite LME because cleaning the litter box is a chore”

About two months ago, I purchased the Littermaid Elite automatic litter-box for my three cats (Davinci, Nigel, and Skitzo) from Petco for around $160. I would have to say it was one of the best purchases I have made for the animals in my household so far, even though Nigel didn't like it at first mainly due to the movement and noise it made during the cleaning process. My family and I live in a two bedroom townhouse, and with three cats it can be pretty hard to control the smell, which is the main reason why we purchased this box. Another reason is because my wife is pregnant with our third child and the odor bothers her the most and cleaning the litter box is a chore for me. So far, so good. After each cat uses it, the Littermaid takes about ten minutes or so to go throughout the entire cleaning cycle, from ionizing to raking. Also, it stores all the waste into a receptacle that traps the odor. The receptacle has to be replaced about once a week, and the carbon filters about once a month, with how much my cats go potty. The other great thing, we didn't have to change the cat litter we use, in which is the Tidy Cat Scoop cat litter, you do have to use clumping cat litter. Like I said earlier, the Littermaid was one of the best things I've bought for my cats and my family.
