If you are looking for an effective, low cost, cat box filler, then Special Kitty, distributed by Walmart is a good choice.

I have been using this product for about five years now and my cat Joy is as pleased with it as I am. We are a single cat household. Special Kitty comes in 25 lb. bags and is available in a regular and Premium variety.

The Premium version has a light clean fragrance to it but other than that I honestly do not see much of a difference between the two formulas and so I go with the less expensive kind when it's available.

The regular version of Special Kitty is an unscented 100% natural clay scoopable cat litter. It is fragrance free, highly absorbent and low on the dust.

The consistency is fairly granular. There has never been any tracking of it in my house.

The litter box is kept in the downstairs laundry room out of the dog's territory. The manufacturer boasts a guarantee that the litter box will remain fresh and clean naturally.

While it is fairly good, I like to enhance it by using one of the powdered litter box deodorizers put out by Arm & Hammer or Tidy Cat. I like to use a thin layer on the bottom of the litter box before filling it with about two or three inches of Special Kitty.

The only thing I might change about this product would be for it to come in a plastic bag which is less likely to rip although that would most likely increase the price and make it less environmentally friendly?

So just put a piece of masking tape if you encounter a leak before you finish the bag. I recommend this product as a good value for the money.
