Why Good Mews is the WORST Cat Litter Ever!!!

by Lena
(Seattle, WA)

It would take a pretty horrible cat litter for me to seek it out online to write a review. My first clue should have been the packaging breaking open when I tried to put the bag in my shopping cart.

Litter all over the aisle… I bought the bag anyway just to try it out. I’ve used several other brands of litter, so when I came to this one I had some good experience to compare.

My two major complaints: the ODOR!!! The litter does not absorb ANY of the odor, so every time the cats poop it smells like a huge man was in the bathroom and forgot to flush. It permeates every nearby room and smells TERRIBLE!

I scoop that, and am left with the odor of URINE. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH ANY CAT LITTER!!! Well maybe after it has been there for two weeks or more, but even then not as strong as this is after less than ONE DAY.

The second complaint: TRACKING. The bag claims the litter doesn't stick to the cat’s paws and track out of the box. Well, mine track it every time it is used. I just changed it this morning and after one uses the litter it is on the floor and the smell is strong.

I disagree with you completely and I'm searching out where I can buy left over bags.

Tidy cats is the worst
by: Anonymous

I love this litter. It is way better than tidy cat. I have never had a smelly litter box until they quit making good mews. Tried tidy cat because of the price. Awful. Toxic and stinky. Worst ever is Tidy Cats.

Good Mews works for us!
by: Anonymous

Our experience with Good Mews has been really good. The bags are dang tough - never had a problem with them leaking/tearing unless they were inadvertently punctured.

Odor isn't a problem, unless we simply don't change the box.

As far as tracking, a few pellets may get stuck in a paw, but they've never tracked outside the bathroom.... and that's from a polydactyl cat!

Sorry about your bad experience but this product has worked great for us, for well over a decade and for multiple cats.
